Glossary (Longchamps & Wright, 2007)





Invitees - any person who comes onto the property, with the occupier's expressed or tacit consent, to provide the occupier with a benefit.

Licensee - any person whose presence on the property is nat a benefit to the occupier but to which the occupier has objection.

Negligence per se - The failure to meet a government regulation.


Trespasser - any person who is neither an invitee nor a licensee and whose presence on the property is either unknown or is objected to by the occupier.
